Nurse practitioner joins MCH staff

MENDOTA— Karen S. Nenne, APN/FNP, has been added to the physician services of Mendota Community Hospital staff.

Nenne received a diploma in nursing in 1987 from the Methodist School of Nursing in Peoria and began her career that year on the nursing staff at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, working in medical oncology and obstetrics.

For more than 18 years, she worked in single and group physician practice offices before returning to the hospital setting in June of 2008, when she accepted a position on the oncology staff at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois in Peoria.

She went on to complete her bachelor’s degree in nursing, graduating summa cum laude, from Kaplan University in Des Moines, Iowa, in June 2009. While continuing to work at Methodist Medical Center, Nenne graduated with her master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practice from Illinois State University, Bloomington, in May 2012.

In Mendota, Nenne will see individuals of all ages who are currently patients of Dr. Mary Chinn, Dr. Amy Matheis-Soliman, Dr. Iram Minus, Dr. David Scholl and Dr. William Schuler. Appointments can be made for Chinn’s office by calling 815-538-1825 and for each of the other four physicians by calling 815-538-7200.
