Bureau County Sheriff


John J. Bock, no age given, of Cape Coral, Fla., was traveling at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 12 on 1745 North Avenue, one-fourth mile west of 1400 East Street in Wyanet Township, when he lost control of his motorcycle after swerving to miss a dog.

Keith A. Stroud, 53, of Princeton was involved in a single-vehicle accident at 10:07 a.m. Sept. 11 on Route 34, at the intersection with 1900 North Avenue in Dover Township.

Amy M. Reuter, 32, of Princeton and Ellen M. Lind, 51, of Wyanet were involved in an accident at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 17 on Route 6, at the intersection of Locust Street in Wyanet.

Levi J. Kempia, 29, of Sandwich and Lori M. Cinotte, 47, of Spring Valley were involved in an accident at 9:02 a.m. Sept. 17 on Route 89, three-fourth mile south of Caroline Street in Hall Township.

Deer accidents

Dingchen Sha, 24, of Bolingbrook was traveling at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 on Interstate 180, one-half mile north of Route 26 in Arispie Township, when his vehicle hit a deer.

Brandon L. Pickering, 32, of Kewanee was traveling at 4:45 a.m. Sept. 13 on Route 6, one-eighth mile west of Route 40 in Concord Township, when his vehicle hit a deer.


Christopher J. Hexon, 40, of rural Tampico was charged with battery at 2:20 a.m. Sept. 16 following an incident one mile north of Mineral.


James F. Hurley, 24, of Sheffield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after a traffic stop at 10:18 p.m. Sept. 15 on Route 6, one mile west of Wyanet.
