PRINCETON — Festival 56 will present “Johnny Cash: A Tribute to the Music,” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St. in Princeton.
The show is a celebration of the music that Cash, “The Man in Black,” made famous. It will include some of Cash’s biggest hits, like “I Walk The Line,” “A Boy Named Sue,” “Ring of Fire” and many more.
The Johnny Cash tribute show was developed by Steve Lasiter and Tristan Tapscott of the District Theatre in Rock Island. They also star in it. Lasiter and Tapscott were at Festival 56 earlier this month to perform their tribute to the music of Buddy Holly.
Individual tickets to “Johnny Cash: A Tribute to the Music,” are $18, or $15 for Festival 56 season subscribers. The Johnny Cash show is a benefit to support a new roof for the Grace Performing Arts Center.
The Grace is completely accessible and ample free parking is available nearby.
For tickets, visit www.festival56.com or call 815-879-5656, ext. 11. The box office is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and an hour before the show.
