WYANET — The Wyanet Village Board is taking action against properties in violation of city ordinances.

At its Sept. 11 meeting, the village board heard a report from trustees Kim Rich and Joe Law on their drive through the village inspecting properties and the subsequent list of properties with ordinance violations. Certified notices will be mailed to those with rodent violations. All others in violations will be mailed letters. Unlicensed vehicles on commercial properties can be towed by the building owner.

Six weeds and grass violation letters have been sent, with five of those property owners taking care of the problems.
