Wray resigns as city clerk
PRINCETON— Long-time Princeton City Clerk Clyde Wray has resigned from his position.
On Thursday, Princeton City Manager Jeff Clawson released a statement announcing Wray's resignation,.
"Clyde has been a senior member of the city's administration for many years. He will be missed by the city council and all staff members that have had the opportunity to work with him," Clawson said.
Concerning naming Wray's replacement, Clawson said the city will review the existing structure of the city clerk position and evaluate any possible changes before beginning the process of replacing Wray as city clerk. A new job description will be implemented to bring it up to date, as is typically done when a position is open, Clawson said.
On Thursday, Princeton Mayor Keith Cain said Wray was a very dedicated employee for the time he was with the city. Wray's resignation is effective immediately, the mayor said.
