BRADFORD — Dennis Albert Wooden, 67, of Bradford passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 17, 1945, in Princeton to Gilbert and Berneice (Howell) Wooden, he married Beverly Toler April 12, 1974, in the First Methodist Church in Princeton. She survives.

He graduated from Bradford High School in 1963 and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a life-long farmer, drove a truck and worked construction.

He was a member of Bureau County Farm Bureau, where he previously served on the board.

Also surviving are two children, Sandy Wooden of Machesney Park and Tony (Nicole) Wooden of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Kyra Johnson, Addyson Wooden and Payton Wooden; and two brothers, Leslie Wooden of Wyanet and Paul Wooden of Polo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Raymond, David and Larry Wooden.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with Pastor Todd Crost officiating. Burial will be private and at a later date.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Tiskilwa Community Church or the Tiskilwa Ambulance Service.
