SPRING VALLEY — The Richard A. Mautino Memorial LIbrary has expanded its service with eBooks and eAudiobooks available for download. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime by visiting www.omnilibraries.org. There are more than 40 libraries participating in the service, and as a member of the ONMI Consortium, Spring Valley patrons will have access to all of the titles in the database, not just those at the local library. Users may browse the ONMI website, check out with a valid Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library card, and download to a PC, MAC and many mobile devices. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, so there are no late fees. This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free for patrons. Anyone interested in this service should stop by or call the library at 815-663-4741 to register.

Story time is held every Tuesday at the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library from 5:30 until 6 p.m. in the children’s room of the library. There is a story and a craft-related project during this time for preschool children through third grade. A parent must accompany their child. This is free of charge.

A Rules of the Road Review Course will be presented at the library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9. This program is a great review class and is free to the public. Please call the library to register at 815-663-4741.
