The proceeds from CGH Medical Center Sprint for Health 1 Mile Fun Run, sponsored by the CGH Health Foundation, were recently presented to Rock Falls High School for their football and volleyball athletic programs. Dr. Michael DeFranco, sports medicine and orthopaedic surgeon (left) and Joan Hermes, executive director of the CGH Health Foundation (right), are shown presenting a $500 check to Rock Falls High School Athletic Director Rich Montgomery. The award was based on the large number of students participating in the run including flipping a tractor tire over the course, as well as their run times.
