Bingo planned

PRINCETON — The Women of the Moose will host bingo Oct. 22 and 23 at the Moose Lodge. On Oct. 22, doors will open at 5 p.m. and bingo will begin at 7 p.m. On Oct. 23, doors will open at 12:30 and bingo will start at 2 p.m. Food, desserts and beverages will be available. The public is invited to attend.

Hasbrook benefit

SHEFFIELD — A benefit for Lauren Hasbrook, a 2010 Bureau Valley High School graduate, will be Nov. 10 at Rediger’s Auction Service in Wyanet. A dinner will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and an auction will be at 8 p.m. Proceeds will help defray an emergency liver transplant Lauren had in August. Wine tasting

SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley Historic Association’s third annual wine tasting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at Valley Bar & Grill, 107 W. St. Paul St. in Spring Valley. Tickets are $15 each. Wine, beer, soda and food will be available. Participants can shop early for holiday gifts. The event is sponsored by Mautino Distributing Inc. Book fair
