Clarence Schultz

MENDOTA — Clarence E. Schultz, 97, a resident of Mendota Lutheran Home, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in the home.

He was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Nashville, Ill., to Otto and Bessie (Hicks) Schultz. He married Viola Wade on Jan. 21, 1939, who is the mother of his children. He married Margaret Grosch-Kleckner on Feb. 4, 1966. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church in LaMoille. He farmed for many years in the LaMoille area and was employed by Farm-Supply in Princeton as a petroleum truck driver and later by Mendota Farmers Co-op before his retirement.

He is survived by three daughters, Nancy (Jim) Erlenborn of Peru, Judy (Steve) McCall of Princeton and Joyce (Bob) Funderberg of Tiskilwa; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Garney (Doris) Schultz of Cherry and Ralph (Lola) Schultz of Compton; and nieces and nephews.
