PRINCETON — Voter registration will take place at the Princeton Public Library from 3 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. Anyone wishing to be registered will need to bring two forms of identification.

The Monday Night Movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m. In the wake of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, seven men and one woman are arrested and charged with conspiring the kill the president. Against the backdrop of post-Civil War Washington, newly-minted lawyer Frederick Aiken reluctantly agrees to defend the woman, Mary Surratt.

On Tuesday, the Preschool Story Hour will be held with the theme, “Colors.” All area preschoolers and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend. Also at 6:30 p.m., Talk About: EcoBot Challenge with the 4-H and Cooperative Extension will be held. Families and students ages 8-14 may participate in a hands-on project making a mini robot. Pre-registration is required by calling 815-875-1331.

On Wednesday, the Central Bank Classic Club will meet at 10 a.m.; a Richard Widmark movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m.; and Chicks with Sticks will meet at 6:30 p.m.

On Oct. 11, the Early Beginnings Young Parenting Group will meet at 3:30 p.m.; the Friends of the Library Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. to discuss “Darling Jim” by Christian Moerk; and Bob Welch will perform Songs of the Civil War at 7 p.m.

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille-Clarion Public Library has received the Eliminate the Digital Divide Grant funds. Equipment is currently being ordered. The projected date for classes to begin is the first week in November. A few of the classes offered will be Basic Computer, Microsoft Word, Excel and Navigating the Internet. A more complete list will be forthcoming. If you are interested in signing up for a class or have suggestions for classes please contact the library at 815-638-2356 or by email at llibrary@live.com. Classes will be offered free of charge to people in the LaMoille-Clarion Library District and to persons outside of the district as space allows.

Also, CVS Pharmacy is offering a flu clinic at the library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12. The charge for the flu vaccine will be $33.99, however, there will be no charge to Medicare patients. Please call the library if you have questions.
