SHEFFIELD — Enjoy a delicious meal and support the Sheffield Public Library at 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Community Center in Sheffield. Award-winning Chefs Monika Sudakov of Chestnut Street Inn and Eran Salzman of ZBest Cafe on Main will both be providing some of their favorite soups, as well as Belluccio’s tasty freshly-baked bread! TISKILWA — “On the Wings of Heroes” by Richard Peck is the book to be discussed at the Tiskilwa Public Library’s next book club/dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15.

Also, the library has planned a special story time for children at 4 p.m. Oct. 22 called “Halloween Fun.” Kids will make a Halloween craft, enjoy a treat and spooky story. You can contact the library at 815) 646-4511 or tisklib@comcast.net.

OHIO — On Oct. 17, Bureau County Extension Service will be at the Ohio Public Library to present its “Ecobots” program for kids 8 years old and up. This program will have kids build their own robots and is sure to be a fun event. The program starts at 4 p.m. Stop in to the library to sign up today.

NEPONSET — The Neponset Public Library will host “The Last Lecture” book discussion at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 27, based on the book by Randy Pausch.

The library will observe National Gaming Day at your library at 1 p.m. Nov. 3. Play cards, board games, computer games, video games and more. There will be lots of fun and pizza.

SPRING VALLEY — Story time is held every Tuesday at the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library from 5:30 until 6:00 p.m. in the children’s room of the library. There is a story and a craft-related project during this time for preschool children through third grade. A parent must accompany their child. This is free of charge.

A Rules of the Road Review Course will be presented at the library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9. This program is a great review class and is free to the public. Please call the library to register at 815-663-4741.
