PORT BYRON — The Bureau Valley Storm scored three unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away to a 34-6 win over Riverdale in Big Rivers Conference play Friday night.

BV quarterback Tyler Barnas threw for three touchdown passes as five different Storm players found the end zone.

Barnas connected for a 33-yard scoring strike to Parker Neuhalfen to open up the third quarter and Kristian Konneck added the conversion run to put the Storm ahead 22-6.

Konneck then had the scoring honors on a 55-yard romp to make it 28-6 at the 5:10 mark of the third quarter.

Barnas found Jordan Monier for a 7-yard pass play with 14 seconds left in the third to put the Storm ahead 34-6.

After a scoreless first quarter, Barnas hooked up with Jake Smith for a 11-yard touchdown to give the Storm a 6-0 lead wth 6:40 left in the second quarter.
