Princeton finished third in Saturday’s Orion Invitational soccer tournament. Dylan Schaefer and Starr Mecum were named all-tournament.
The Tigers opened with a 6-0 whitewash of Riverdale with two goals by Mecum and one each from Raider Keenan, Schaefer, Brody Hunt and Tyson Lorenzen.
Schaefer and Nate Duffy scored in a 4-2 loss to Sterling, while Schaefer took an assist from Keenan for a 1-1 tie against the host Chargers.
PHS coach Jason Bird said the Tigers played Sterling (19-2) “real tough,” noting it was still a 3-2 game with about three and one-half minutes remaining.
