PRINCETON — Liza Bernabei Gillan has been promoted to senior vice president – corporate counsel, according to Thomas Ogaard, president and CEO of Citizens First National Bank. Bernabei Gillan has her Bachelor of Science in Administration of Criminal Justice and Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Bradley University. She received her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law and graduated both Bradley and NIU College of Law with summa cum laude honors. Prior to joining Citizens in 2009, she practiced law for Anthony C. Raccuglia & Associates P.C., Peru.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Liza’s qualifications and background. Her knowledge and experience will be beneficial in assisting in meeting all the requirements in the ever-changing regulatory environment,” Ogaard said.

She will now concentrate initially on regulatory matters relating to the bank’s compliance needs, employees, and act as the main liaison with outside law firms and provide general counsel to management on legal matters.
