LADD — Corrine M. Manning, 83, of Ladd died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Manor Court of Peru.

Mrs. Manning was born in Boloit, Wis. on Aug. 3, 1929. to Dominic and Laura (Jordan) Mini. She married Edward T. Manning in St. Benedict’s Church in Ladd on Jan. 27, 1951. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Manning was a member of St. Benedict’s Church in Ladd, its Altar and Rosary Society,and St. Patrick’s Church in Arlington. 

She served on the Board of Red Cross in Bureau County and was treasurer for two local school districts. She was awarded the Illinois Valley Mother of the Year Award and served as coordinator of the Project NOA site in Ladd. Mrs. Manning helped and organize many program to promote to help and educate senior citizens on current social and health issues. She was presented with the Brady Award for her service with seniors though the Illinois Department of Aging.
