Dixon (2A)

Where: Timber Creek Golf Course.

Area school: Princeton. Others: Dixon, L-P, Mendota, Oregon, Ottawa, Rochelle, Rock Falls, Sterling.

At a glance: The Tigers prepare for their second year at the 2A level in a field of former NCIC rivals. Ottawa and Sterling head the field, but the Tigers beat the rest of the entries at the P.I.T. and have a leg up for the third and final qualifying berth. “Knowing that we’ve recently won the P.I.T., shot our season-best 159, and won the NCIC conference championship, we do have some momentum and reason for optimism heading into Tuesday,” PHS coach Duane Price said. PHS senior Cole Evenson was a 2A qualifier last year.

Seneca (1A)

Where: Nettle Creek Golf Course.

Area schools: Hall, DePue and St. Bede. Others: Aurora Christian, Beecher, Crete Illinois Lutheran, HBR, Indian Creek, Newark, Putnam County, Richton Park, Seneca, Somonauk, Wilmington.

Monmouth (1A)

Where: Gibson Woods Golf Course.

At a glance: Barbi Prokup and the Lady Bruins will have all the comforts of playing on their home course.

Kewanee (1A)

At a glance: Of the 14 schools, only nine field full squads, including Henry and Princeton.
