Services for male survivors of sexual assault

PRINCETON — Freedom House is highlighting its services for male victims of sexual violence. Many persons are not aware that counseling services, legal advocacy and medical advocacy are all available to males as well as female victims.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 9, a group for adult males who have been victims of sexual abuse or assault will begin. The focus will be on providing support, resources and developing coping skills. The stance of Freedom House is that they believe persons who say they have been impacted by sexual violence and that the abuse is not their fault. The group is open to all non-offending adult males. Individual counseling is also available.

All Freedom House services are confidential and free of charge. Anyone interested in attending should call 815-872-0087.
