BCR insider: The Bombers are in the driver’s seat to win the West Central Conference with a showdown with 2011 co-WCC champ Rockridge (5-1, 5-1) next week. Macomb is a defensive-minded team, averaging 22.8 ppg while allowing just 14.8 ppg. PHS is scoring just 9.9 ppg while surrendering 40.5 ppg.
This will be the last meeting between the schools with Princeton moving to the Three Rivers in 2013. PHS’ lone win in six series meetings came in the 2002 playoffs (49-7).
Last week: PHS lost to Monmouth-Roseville 42-0; Macomb beat Pittsfield 27-24.

Between them, the new BRC rivals have six state championships (Newman 4, Hall 2) and three runner-up finishes (Newman 2, Hall 1). Game being played Saturday with host Sterling High School playing under the Friday Nights Lights on its new synthetic turf.
