Sharon Carley

BELOIT, Wis.— Sharon "Shari" Rose Carley, 65, of Beloit, Wis., died on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born on May 10, 1947 in Princeton, the daughter of Francis and Mary Alice (Quinn) Ryan. She was a graduate of the Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and married Allen “Lee” Carley on May 29, 1969.

Shari’s life mission was to be the best mother and nurse that she could possibly be. If asked of anyone that knew her, she accomplished just that. Shari was formerly employed at several area hospitals, as well as the Ambulatory Surgery Center. She also worked as a flight nurse for Lifeline. She was incredibly caring and compassionate and volunteered for a variety of mission trips, including the USNS Comfort Ship, providing acute medical care. She was also an active Red Cross worker, providing disaster aid to those in need. She was selected as the Rockford Register Star Nurse of the Year.
