The Tigresses improved to 13-0 in dual meets this season with 5-0 wins over Streator and Kewanee this week.
The Tigresses dropped just six games en route to the Monday shutout over Streator. PHS winners were Jen O’Neill (6-1, 6-0) and Makenzey Wilson (6-0, 6-0) in singles and the doubles of Stephanie Blessman and Mackenzie Schafer (6-0, 6-0), Kate Morrow and Taylor Behrends (6-3, 6-2) and Courtney Webb and Emma Reidner (6-0, 6-0).
The F/S posted a 4-1 win behind Maddie Schafer (8-1) and the doubles of Brittany Krohn and Malena Wheeler (8-1), Angelica Jones and Emma Mosier (8-0) and Danielle May and Katie Rodefer (8-0). In extra matches, Mackenzie Geldean and Julia Bauer won 8-2, Elise Blocki and Selena Olson won 8-3 and Hannah Erickson and Mallory Wheeler won 6-0.
On Tuesday, the PHS Blue Machine rolled again behind shutouts from O’Neill and Wilson at singles and doubles wins from Blessman and Schafer (6-1, 6-2), Morrow and Behrends (6-2, 6-2) and Kayla Fawcett and Reidner (6-2, 6-2). Winning in JV doubles were Nicole Walker and Emma Bryson, Webb and Meredith Lindeland, Megan Smith and Laura Behrends, Lexi Mink and Hanna Lund, Tiffany Deguzman and Fran Bowman and Lindsay Hartwig and Abbie Bickett.
In F/S play, PHS swept doubles with Anjali Patel and Brittany Krohn, Wheeler and Jones, Mosier (8-0) and Geldean, Ellie Bonucci and Maddie Schafer, Bauer and Elise Blocki, Olson and Erickson, Bryson and Rodefer and Dana Rawlings and Patel.
