College students donate blood

Mikyla Kunkel of Wyanet, an elementary education major at Black Hawk College, was one of many students and employees who rolled up their sleeves for a good cause on Oct. 3 donating 18 units of blood during the SGA-sponsored blood drive. Fifty-four people will benefit from their donations. The Peoria chapter of the American Red Cross held the blood drive at the Black Hawk College-East Campus in Galva.
