Holy Trinity Cherry wins Fulton Sheen endowment

CHERRY — Holy Trinity Cherry has received notice they have been selected as a winning recipient of the Fulton Sheen Endowment for Religious Education and Faith Formation Grant for 2012 – 13. This is the first time Holy Trinity Cherry has designed and completed a submission for this grant.

The Fulton Sheen Endowment fund is part of the “Rooted in Faith Campaign” and provides grants to parishes for the purposes of enhancing religious education, parish-wide evangelization and family life programs. Specifically, this year the fund is targeting ideas that promote educational efforts across cooperating parishes, pooling of educational resources across parishes, especially in rural areas, and creative new options for bringing faith to the people.

The grant proposal from Holy Trinity Cherry revolves around a highly creative and well received new idea that will enhance youth education at Cherry and other parishes around the Illinois Valley. At the center of the proposal is Novas Pictures Corp., their founder is internationally known and recognized film producer Jim Morlino and his Catholic award winning film “The War of the Vendee.”
