Lady Comets going pink for coach

CHERRY — School colors for the Cherry Grade School Lady Comets basketball team are red and white by tradition. On Thursday, they will be pink.

The Lady Comets and community want to show their support in the fight against breast cancer, especially for assistant coach Jill Lusietto who was diagnosed earlier this year with breast cancer. Everyone will be wearing pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month for Thursday’s home game with Deer Park. Gametime is 6 p.m.

Cherry coach Ryan Luecke said the event is not meant to be a money maker but just to get a large number of caring people together to show their support.
