“Yes, there’s nothing wrong with a spanking. I got them growing up, and it didn’t hurt me at all.”

Beth Ellis, Neponset

“I don’t  think it should be allowed. It could be carried out too far. Kids should go to school well behaved.”

Verna Cinnamon, Neponset

“I wouldn’t like someone else disciplining my kids. It’s the parent’s job.”

Tony Murphy, Neponset

“I think discipline should be handled at home. I’m of the old school of thought that if you get in trouble at school, you’re in worse trouble at home.”

John Pratt, Neponset

“I’m not too big on corporal punishment, but I can see how a quick swat could straighten a younger child out. Nowadays you have to be careful about even touching a child.”

Carol Gerrond, Neponset
