Craft/flea market

PRINCETON — A craft/flea market will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. Admission is $1.

Bingo planned

PRINCETON — The Women of the Moose will host bingo Oct. 20 and 21 at the Moose Lodge. On Oct. 20, doors will open at 5 p.m. and bingo will begin at 7 p.m. On Oct. 21, doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo will start at 2 p.m. Food, desserts and beverages will be available. The public is invited to attend.

Soup, sandwich meal

PERU — First Congregational Church of Peru will host a free soup and sandwich meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The church is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. Handicap accessible, the church is located at 1431 Fourth St. in Peru.

Annual event

ARLINGTON — The annual smorgasbord and bake sale sponsored by the St. Patrick Church Altar & Rosary Society, Arlington, will be from 11 am. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 in Bishop Franz Hall. The menu includes turkey/dressing, ham, mashed potatoes/gravy, vegetables, salads, dessert and beverage. Adults are $8, children under 12 are $3, with preschool free. Dinner tickets and raffle tickets can be purchased at the door. Carry-outs are also available.

World Community Day

PRINCETON — Everyone is invited to join Church Women United for World Community Day on Nov. 2. The event will hosted by Open Prairie UCC, 25 E. Marion St., Princeton. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with soup and sandwiches, followed by the worship service. The program this year is, “Abiding in Community.”

Used book sale

PRINCETON — The Friends of the Princeton Public Library used book sale will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 3 at the library. The “Friends” have opened a permanent area in the library with their complete inventory of books for sale at the same low prices.
