PERU — Illinois Valley Community Hospital’s first ever Facebook promotion heads the list of activities scheduled both inside and outside IVCH in observance of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

IVCH is inviting Facebook fans to “like” the hospital’s page on the social media site and then submit photos of themselves wearing pink in support of breast cancer awareness and to help women realize the importance of early detection in combatting the disease. Each photo received will be entered into the hospital’s “Wear Your Pink” contest with the five top photos earning prizes.
