The LaMoille/Ohio Lady Lions saluted their seniors with a 25-22, 18-25, 25-22 Senior Night win Tuesday in the Lions Den.

Seniors contributing to the win were Ashley Schrader (18 digs, 20 assists), Amber Dannis (2 digs, 4 kills) Brittany Chasteen (3 kills, 6 digs, 8 points), Caitlin Quarton (3 digs 3 points) and Sami O’Brien (12 digs).

Other contributors for L/O (12-9, 5-2) included Toni Lawrence (7 kills, 1 block), Ragen Forbes (15 digs, 6 points), Shiela Browning (8 kills, 7 points, 2 blocks). Kaitlyn Hughes (5 kills, 5 digs) and Vanessa Martinez (11 digs, 4 points).

Bureau Valley 2, Prophetstown 0: The Storm swept the Lady Prophets in straight sets Tuesday 25-18, 25-18. Lindsey Hoffert had nine points and eight blocks, Nicole Bornsheuer six kills, Sydney Lebhan 18 assists and five digs and Heaven Bennett and Brandi DeWaele split 10 kills.

TCC Tournament: The Hall Lady Red Devils opened Tri-County Conference tournament play with a 25-14, 23-25, 25-12 win over Lowpoint-Washburn Monday. Vanessa Olivares had 18 points and 18 assists with Valerie Hoffert chipping in 13 points and  Brooke Keegan 13 assists.

That victory put them up against top-seeded Streator Woodland, which handed the Lady Devils a 25-17, 25-17 setback on Tuesday. Olivares and Hoffert each had six points.

In other Monday matches, (4) Putnam County defeated (5) Peoria Christian 25-12, 23-25, 25-22 and (7) Henry tripped host DePue, the 10 seed, 25-17, 25-15. On Tuesday, Midland beat Henry.

IVC 2, St. Bede 0: The Lady Ghosts put the finishing touches on the 2012 NCIC championship with a 25-15, 25-15 win at the Academy in Chillicothe Tuesday. Maggie Kaniewski had four kills and Morgan Ling 13 digs for the Lady Bruins.

St Bede won the freshmen match 25-22, 25-21, but IVC claimed the sophomore's, 25-10, 25-19.

Junior college: IVCC defeated Sauk Valley 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 with Johnna Schultz contributing 16 assists, Kayla MacDavitt six blocks and Hailee Brayton five kills and three blocks.
