Sheffield Public Library to host weiner roast

SHEFFIELD — The Sheffield Public Library will host its sixth annual fall weiner roast at 6 p.m. Oct. 19 outside on the west side of the building.

Hot dogs, chips, smores and hot chocolate will be served free to library patrons. At about 6:30 p.m., a skit, based on the Suzanne William’s book, "Library Lil," will be performed. "Library Lil" is about a librarian who loves books and reading, but unfortunately the town where she works is made up of non-readers. One stormy night Lil’s opportunity to change the community’s way of thinking occurs and Lil takes action.

The skit will be followed by some scary book sharing by children’s librarian, Sue Lanxon. A blazing fire, plenty of food and good stories will be provided. Participants are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
