Stage 212 casting call

LASALLE — Director Joseph Ennenbach has announced that auditions for the opening production of Stage 212’s 2013 season, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” by Stephen Sondheim, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 and 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at the theater, 700 First St., LaSalle.

The musical comedy, a spoof of Ancient Rome, will be performed the weekends of Jan. 25, 26 and 27, and Feb. 1, 2 and 3, 2013.

Ennenbach and Music Director/Choreographer Deana Brown will be casting a minimum of nine men and nine women of college age or older. Auditioners are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song of their choice. Persons wishing to review a script may contact the Stage 212 box office at 815-224-3025. Anyone who would like to try out but is unable to attend either of the scheduled audition dates should contact the director at 815-488-0633 to make special arrangements.
