Stroke detection screening set

PRINCETON — Stroke is a major public health concern.

The mortality rate, medical cost and disability burden for those suffering a stroke is significant and disturbing. Experts agree that early detection is the key to saving lives and saving health expense.

Wellness screenings will be held at the Bureau County Farm Bureau at 535 Elm Place, Princeton, from 8:35 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8.

Stroke Detection Plus, a mobile vascular screening company, uses ultrasound technology to detect blockages in arteries and vessels of the body.

The screenings performed include: Carotid arteries, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery disease and osteoporosis.

As a Farm Bureau member, you receive all four tests for $100, which equates to a $35 savings off of the $135 community price. Appointments are necessary.

To set up an appointment, call 877-732-8258.
