Colorado man sentenced on possession felony

PRINCETON — A Colorado man has been placed on three years probation after pleading guilty in Bureau County Court to the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of cannabis.

Christopher M. Enright, 27, entered his guilty plea on Oct. 5 before Circuit Judge Marc Bernabei. As conditions of his probation, Enright was also ordered to pay fines, fees and court costs totaling $4,000 and to serve one month in the Bureau County Jail. He was also ordered to submit to urine drug analysis.

This is Enright’s first conviction.

On Sept. 21, 2011, the Princeton Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 80. After a K-9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, the vehicle was searched. Recovered from the vehicle was 100 grams of cannabis.
