Bruins win Mixed Classic
The host Bruins won the championship in Saturday’s St. Bede Mixed Classic with 43 points to defeat Princeton (57) and Ohio (77).
St. Bede’s Sam Lucus won the race with a time of 18:40 with Leo Lopez (19:06) taking third and Sam Brolley (19:31) fifth. Princeton’s Mason Hunt (19:13) placed fourth with Alex Biggs (19:38) sixth and Andrew Birkey (19:54) seventh.
Princeton’s Kathryn Krieger was the first female finisher, placing seventh overall in 23:08. She was followed by Ohio’s Caitlin Quarton (24:04), St. Bede’s Laura Sickley (24:39) and Hannah Read (25:57).
