Obituaries

Dennis Hornback

LANCASTER, Calif. — Dennis J. Hornback, 64, formerly of Princeton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in Lancaster, Calif.

Born June 1, 1947, to Harold and Kathryn (Headings) Hornback, he married Nicki Edwards in April 1973 in Peoria. She preceded him in death.

He worked for Continental Can in Peoria and transferred to Simi Valley, Calif., where he subsequently worked in machine maintenance for Anheuser-Busch until his retirement in June 2011.

Surviving are two daughters, Heather (Jeff) Shreves and Amber (Jason) Schmidt, both of Lancaster, Calif.; three grandchildren, Chloe and Caden Shreves, and Kyle Schmidt; and three sisters, Gayle (Don) Prince of Wyanet, Phyllis (Mike) Stauffer of Tool, Texas, and Pat (Mike) Boesch of Princeton.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother-in-law.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at  Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.
