WYANET — The descendents of William and Mattie (Aldrich) Smith met for their 50-year reunion at the Wyanet Park Shelter on Oct. 7 with 95 people attending. Hosts for the reunion were the descendents of the Lloyd Smith family.

There were two births recorded for the year, Ryan Matthew Burkholder, the son of Karyn and Ismal Burkholder, was born Aug. 15. He is the great-grandson of Keith Olson. Jayden Marie Binder, the daughter of Kayla Woolf and great-granddaughter of Derrold and Pat Mark, was born on May 24. There were no marriages or deaths. The oldest family member present was Ona Andersen of Walnut. The youngest member present was Liam Smith of Wyanet.

The next reunion will be Oct. 6, 2013, at the Wyanet Park Shelter with the Letha Olson family in charge.
