No. 2 seed Midland settled for third-place, defeating No. 4 Putnam County 25-22, 25-23.

Roanoke-Benson topped Peoria Christian 25-17, 25-14 for the consolation title.

Putnam County’s Paige Griffith and Taylor Erjausek and Henry’s Erica Briner were among the all-tournament selections.

Mendota Rally Tournament: Orion defeated Lexington 30-28, 25-23 to win the Mendota tournament Saturday. The host Spikers defeated Ottawa 25-12, 25-18 to take fifth.

BV freshmen tournament: The Storm captured top honors in their tournament Saturday, defeating Hall 20-25, 25-16, 15-7 Kewanee 25-23, 18-25, 15-12 and Princeton 25-15, 17-25, 15-11, all in three sets.

The Tigresses claimed second by defensive points tie-breaker with Kewanee placing third and Hall fourth.

Sandwich sophomore tournament: Princeton placed sixth in Saturday’s sophomore play at Sandwich. The Tigresses beat Plano 25-23, 25-19 and Paw Paw 25-6, 25-12 and lost to Seneca 25-23, 25-19 in pool play. They finished with a 24-25, 25-18, 15-14 win over Fenton and a 2-1 loss to Peotone to place sixth.
