PMH employees make donation to Bureau County Food Pantry
PRINCETON — The employees at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton recently held a food drive for the Bureau County Food Pantry.
The hospital employees were divided into three teams and held a contest during the month of September to see which team could collect the most food in weight. The winning team included these Perry departments: Pharmacy, Family Acute Care Unit, Obstetrics, Intensive Care Unit, Care Management, Perry Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Financial Services, Technology Services, Nursing Administration and Human Resources. A total of 2,357 pounds of food and $1,540 in cash donations was collected by all Perry Memorial employees and donated to the food pantry.
Rex Conger, CEO at Perry, stated, “The food pantry indicated that $10 worth of food can be purchased with every $1 donation. They will be able to purchase $15,400 worth of food to stock the shelves. I am proud of our employees and their efforts to support the community in this manner.”
