Fundraiser planned

PRINCETON — St. Louis School’s “An Evening at the Auction” will be Nov. 10 at the school, 631 Park Ave. West in Princeton. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are $25 per person and available at St. Louis School. For more information, call 815-872-8521. Feather bingo

DALZELL — Dalzell Grade School will hold a fundraiser, a Feather Bingo Night, Nov. 10 at the Dalzell Fire Station. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and bingo will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $1 for grade school students, $2 for high school students and adults. Cards are $2 each or three for $5. Participants could win frozen turkeys or chickens for Thanksgiving. There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 and raffles. This event is open to all ages. Sandwiches and dessert will be for sale.

Legion meeting

SPRING VALLEY — The Dominic Oberto American Legion Post will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 307 W. St. Paul St.

Review course

SPRING VALLEY — Secretary of State Jesse White, in cooperation with the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library, will offer a free Rules of the Road review course from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the library, 215 E. Cleveland St., Spring Valley. The purpose of the course is to help participants pass the Illinois driver’s license renewal examination. The course prepares applicants for the general written and road examinations, and also provides information on the vision screening.

Meeting set

PRINCETON — The Northwest Princeton unit of  Home Extension will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Nancy Henning, 2317 Timber Ridge Court. Gert Zaleski will be the co-hostess. Zaleski will also give the lesson, “A vegetarian diet.” Vivienne Lutes will supply the auction gift.

Purse/accessory sale

PRINCETON — The Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a purse and accessories sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the north lobby of the hospital. Major credit cards will be accepted. Proceeds from the event will go toward needed equipment for the hospital. For more information, call 815-879-7431.
