PERU — The new director of laboratory services at IVCH is Karen Ravnikar, who assumed her new duties Sept. 23. She replaces Jeanette Olsen, who retired after working for 43 years at IVCH.

Ravnikar has been an IVCH employee since 2006, when she joined the laboratory staff as a medical technologist. She had been the chemistry supervisor in the hospital’s lab for the last two and one-half years.

Before coming to IVCH, Ravnikar worked in the laboratory at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center (now OSF Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center) and before that at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan.
