Frank, Tigresses eat up Sandwich

STERLING — According to Coach Andy Puck, the Princeton Tigresses “took care of business” Monday night on the volleyball court in the opening round of regional play against the Sandwich Lady Indians.

The Tigresses weren’t about to allow the Lady Indians to even think about getting their second win of the season, as they disposed of them quickly and mercilessly in straight sets by scores of 25-4 and 25-9. The Tigresses moved on to play Rock Falls on Tuesday night.

Princeton rode the hot hand of junior back court player Rachel Frank to the dominant victory. Frank served for 20 points during the match including five aces and a long run of 16 straight points in the first set.
