Logan 7ths to play for SRC title

STREATOR — It’s been 13 wins up and 13 down for the Princeton Logan seventh-grade girls basketball team. One more win and they’ll be crowned as Starved Rock Conference champions.

The Lionesses will take a 13-0 record into the championship game against No. 2 Peru. Logan was a 47-18 winner over LaSalle Lincoln Tuesday. Anna Murray scored 22 point with Cydney Kelly adding six, Hannah Meyer five and Lydia Smallwood and Brittney Kamphuis four each.

With a win, the Lionesses would become the first Logan girls’ squad to finish undefeated since the 2002 eighth-grade team went 15-0.
