The Bureau Valley FFA traveled to Kewanee Oct. 4 to participate in the 2012 Section 3 FFA Land Use (Soils) CDE. Participants included Bryan Arteberry (from left), Kristyn Ehnle, Tucker Schoff, Andrew Smith, Trevin Kennedy, Thomas Monier, Sadie Reinbeck, Blake Balensiefen, Addie Schoff, Evan Ringle, Garrett Jackson, Nicole Bannick, Ryan Lootens, Jay Norden, Nicole Bannick, Samantha Haney, Blaine Peterson and Lauren Peterson. The members judged four soil pits with Scantron-style scoring. The judging team placed sixth overall with a team high of 288 by Kennedy. Kennedy also placed third in the individual contest.
