Thanksgiving dinner

PRINCETON — The St. Louis Catholic Church and Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton will co-sponsor a free Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 22. Reservations are needed by Nov. 19 by calling 815-875-2124. Carry-outs and deliveries, as well as transportation, will be available.

Cemetery clean-up

WYANET — Fall clean-up at Forest Hill Cemetery in Wyanet will be Wednesday through Friday. All items will be removed. For more information, call the village hall at 815-699-2631.

Food collection

PRINCETON/TISKILWA — The Princeton/Tiskilwa area Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will conduct their annual food collection Saturday in Princeton and Tiskilwa. Residents can place non-perishable food items or paper products in a bag outside their door or someplace visible for the scouts to pick up. The food drive will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Items should be set outside by 9 a.m. There will also be a collection point in the parking lot of Princeton Public Library from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for those wishing to drop off items. Auxiliary workshop

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its monthly veterans workshop at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Members should note the date change. The Unit will do the veterans treat bags and also the boxes for overseas soldiers. Coffee and snacks will be available after the workshop. Festival 56 event

PRINCETON — Festival 56 will present Mark Twain’s “The Dairies of Adam and Eve,” adapted by David Birney at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again on Nov. 14, 15, 16 and 17, at the Grace Performing Arts Center, 316 S. Main St. in Princeton. The play will also be presented at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $26, $24 for seniors and $13 for students under 18.
