Article:	Respecting and protecting life October has been designated as Respect Life Month by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. It is a time when we draw attention to the gift of life and our calling to protect all life, especially the elderly and the unborn. Another national campaign, 40 Days for Life, also falls in October. It calls for prayer, especially outside of abortion clinics, and fasting to end abortion. It’s efforts have been fruitful, over 6,000 documented lives have been saved and at least 69 abortion workers have resigned from their jobs.
