NEPONSET — The Neponset Public Library will observe National Gaming Day @ your library at 1 p.m. Saturday. Play cards, board games, computer games, video games and more. There will be lots of fun and pizza.

OHIO — At 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Bureau County Farm Bureau will be at the Ohio Public Library to present a program on turkeys. There will be activities and snacks that are related to this topic. This is sure to be a fun program, so please stop in to sign up at the library.

Also, the library is taking Butter Braid orders until Friday, with a delivery date of Nov. 14. Stop in to the library to make your order.

The library also has a large number of newly released books by authors like Mitch Albom, James Patterson, John Sandford, Sandra Brown, Bill O’Reilly, Clive Cussler, Rick Riordan and Lee Child that are available to be checked out.

PERU — The Peru Public Library holds a story time for children age 3 to 5 at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Children will hear stories, sing songs, dance and learn finger plays. Registration is not required. Visit www.perulibrary.org or call 815-223-0229 ext. 5 for more information.

SPRING VALLEY — Story time is held every Tuesday at the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in the children’s room of the library. There is a story and a craft-related project during this time for preschool children through third grade. A parent must accompany their child. This is free of charge.

A Rules of the Road review course will be presented at the library from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9. This program is a great review class and is free to the public. Please call the library to register at 815-663-4741.
