PRINCETON — Nuts 4 Donuts will open soon in Princeton.

Larry Werdeniuk, owner of the shop located at 927 N. Main St. in Princeton, said he wants to open the shop by Nov. 9.

Werdeniuk said he has operated donut shops since the late 1980s in the train station at Palatine in the Chicago suburbs, in Naples, Fla., and even overseas in Nottingham, England.

“My family lives here (Princeton) and I noticed there was no donut shop in town when I visited,” he said.

After moving to Princeton about five months ago, Werdeniuk figured that if a donut shop would work well in England, why not try it in Princeton.

“I loved this town every time I visited,” he said. “It is so peaceful.”

Nuts 4 Donuts in Princeton will not only stock the classic lines of donuts, Werdeniuk plans on having some wacky flavors such as maple, bacon, fruit loops, M & M, kit kat, and peanut butter and jelly.

He will be open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until he sells out of his donuts seven days a week.

Werdeniuk will have several tables with chairs and a stand up counter for customers to eat their donuts at Nuts 4 Donuts if they so desire.

The business will be Internet accessible and can be rented out for birthday parties.

Werdeniuk has chosen pink as the color for the business’ logo because it is a fun color and children like it.

“It reminds you of frosting and little kids like it,” he added.

“We will possibly also offer breakfast sandwiches and late lunch soups and sandwiches if business is there,” he said.

He also plans on starting a bakery at the shop if the business goes over good enough to warrant him taking this step.

Nuts 4 Donuts can be reached at 815-780-7452.
