Coffeehouse performance

PRINCETON — Sons of the Never Wrong will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Princeton Coffeehouse, located at the Open Prairie UCC, 25 E. Marion St., Princeton. The eclectic and popular Chicago folk trio is known for their “soaring harmonies, sweet guitar strumming and mandolin-flecked melodies”, according to the Associated Press. Meeting set

PRINCETON — The GFWC Woman’s Club of Princeton will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Prouty Building in Princeton. The program, “The Hat Lady,” will be presented by Charlene Behrens. Lois Johnson and Marian Lovgren will be the social committee. Members are invited to bring Christmas items to the meeting which will be given to veterans. Open house

PRINCETON — November is National Hospice Month and Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Perry Memorial Hospital Medical Office Building lobby. Refreshments will be served and there will be a door prize drawing.

Fundraiser

HENNEPIN — The Hennepin Relay for Life team will sell handmade Christmas swags for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event in June 2013. Fresh greens for the swags, donated by Boyle Tree Farms, will be sold for $20 each or two for $30. Swags can be ordered by leaving a message at 815-993-0414 or by calling Betty Dean at 815-925-7098. The swags will be available for pick up Dec. 1.

Girl Talk

SPRING VALLEY — “Girl Talk - A Mother/Daughter Night of Learning,” intended for 9- to 12-year-old girls, along with their mothers, to discuss certain female issues with experts will be Thursday at St. Margaret’s Hospital. Vendors and a light supper will be available from 5 to 6 p.m. A panel of experts will present information from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be available to answer any questions. Speakers include Dr. Nicole Norris, Jennifer Gunness, and Claudia Bachman, CPASA Board Member. Discover tips to more effectively manage nutrition and dieting, skin care, physical and emotional changes and more that occur during puberty. Registration is required.
