Neponset Village Board

NEPONSET — The Neponset Village Board took action on the following items at its meeting Oct. 17:

• Heard from Trustee Wayne Gerrond that everything is going very well with the new water treatment plant. Work is ahead of schedule due to the help from village employees and the new engineering firm. Gerrond discussed a report on the nation’s water costs rising, and how a study of 100 municipalities showed the bills in a quarter of the towns had doubled or even tripled. The article is available at the village hall.

• Heard from Village President Carl Rohrig how the new water filter works. A miniature filter box and water samples are on display at the village hall.
