PRINCETON — The Princeton-Illinois Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met Oct. 5 at the Prouty Building for its monthly meeting.

Chapter member Patricia Polson presented the program “Julian Bryant, Leader of Colored Troops in the Civil War.” Bryant was Polson’s relative who worked for the equality of his troops in the U.S. Army.

Regent Sharon Bittner led the ritual with Juanita Terrance leading the pledge. Judith Munn gave the president general’s message and Nancy Gillfillan the national defense report.
