Genealogy guild

OTTAWA — The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will hold its annual ethnic potluck dinner at noon Nov. 17 in the guild library, 115 W. Glover St. in Ottawa. Members should bring their favorite ethnic dish and table service. Chicken and drinks will be furnished.

Support group

PRINCETON — Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice will host its monthly grief and loss support group at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in the chapel at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Anyone that has lost a loved one is invited to attend.

Quilters Guild

HENRY — The Marshall-Putnam Quilters Guild will meet at the Presbyterian Church in Henry Nov. 14. Our morning workshop, at 9 a.m., will be needle turn appliqué with Elaine Houston. We will meet again after lunch at 1 p.m. for our meeting and a trunk show with Elaine Houston.

TOULON — The Henry/Stark Counties Retired Teachers will meet Nov. 14 in Toulon at the First Congregational Church, 218 N. Henderson St. The meeting will begin with a noon luncheon. The afternoon will include IRTA insights by A.J. Harland, Region 8 director. Music U.S.A. will be presented by Lynne Roark and Mary Hawk. Dinner reservations may be made to Margaret Blakey, P.O. Box 253, Toulon, IL 61483 or by calling 309-286-3142 by Wednesday. All retired teachers residing in Henry or Stark counties are invited to attend.
